| The CENTER FOR LIFE ENRICHMENT is a continuing education, non-profit organization. It is aligned with Western Carolina University and Emory University. Founded in 1992, CLE is located in Highlands, NC and serves residents and visitors in the Highlands-Cashiers area. CLE is proud to offer an eclectic variety of courses, lectures and events throughout the summer season, May through September. Working with acclaimed presenters, including professors from Western Carolina University and other southeastern universities, we present experts on a wide-ranging variety of interests. Our Members are our most valuable asset at CLE! They are not only patrons of our courses, lectures and events, they help in planning the curriculum, coordinating and facilitating the many courses, and promoting our organization throughout the Highlands area. | Over the summer season CLE enriches and entertains over 300 people in a myriad of classes and lectures including the ever popular cooking, bridge, Middle East studies, art, music and travel. |
